Raspberry Flavored Green Tea

Raspberry flavored green tea

My first order through Taste of Tea arrived yesterday. I am delighted with everything I ordered but most of all my new teas! A while ago I wrote about mango green tea (decaf). It was so enjoyable that I ordered a pound of it. Because I'm adventurous with food and drink I took a gamble and ordered a pound of raspberry flavored green tea. No, it wasn't available in smaller quantities or I would have purchased less. (In case you are wondering how many cups of tea a pound brews the answer is about 240 cups.)

Let me tell you, that raspberry flavored green is simply divine. The ingredient label states that it certified organic and the ingredients are green tea, raspberries, hibiscus, and natural raspberry flavor. It has a luscious raspberry and hibiscus scent. I was surprised by how light in color it is once brewed. It is a little bit of Heaven in a cup and pairs well with dark chocolate.

Anticancer Note:
Green tea contains ECGC, which is documented to significantly slow the growth of many types of cancer (including breast, prostate, and mouth cancer). For ECGC to be plentiful in the bloodstream 2-3 cups need to be consumed daily. As you can see from today's post green teas come in a variety of flavors and needn't be boring.
